HANNAH LOCKE m. THOMAS PIERCE, of Woburn, Nov. 5, 1722. He removed then, or soon after to Leicester, and in 1728, or before, he settled at Hopkinton. His wife was admitted to the church in that town in 1730, by letter from the Ch. in Leicester. She d. before Jany. 24, 1743, for at that date he md. Lydia Gibbs, of Framingham. In 1747, he was a resident of Framingham, where he d. between Feb. 22, 1768, when his will is dated, and April, 1768, when his will was presented for Probate. [A very singular error was five times repeated on the Probate Records in 1747, when guardians were appointed to the chil. of his first wf., her father having deceased leaving the chil. property. In the records of the appointment of guardians, it is recited that they were " the children of Thomas Pierce late of Framingham deceased,'" when in fact he did not die till twenty-one years after. It was the wf. who had " deceased." By his 2d wf. he had in Framingham Elizabeth, b. Nov. 30, 1744, bap. at Hop. Dec. 9, 1744, (who md. Silas Haven of Hop. Ap. 25, 1771 .') Jonathan, b.
