Hannah Pierce
1723 -- Hannah, b. Feb. 1, 1722-3, in Leicester, m. William Ballard, Jr. Aug. 25, 1741.HANNAH PEIRCE, m. WILLIAM BALLARD, Jr. of Framingham, Aug. 25, 1741, who was b. at Lynn, the son of William, gr. son of Nathaniel, and gr. gr. son of William, all of Lynn. William, sen. is supposed to have come from England in the James in 1634, then aged 32 ; was made a freeman May 2, 1638; was a member of the Quarterly Court at Salem, the same year. His chil. were John, Nathaniel, and Elizabeth. He d. before Mh. 1, 1641, making a nuncupative will, by which he gave half of his estate to his wf, and half to his child. The name was sometimes spelt Ballord. (For a further account of the Ballards, see Lewis's History of Lynn and Barry's Hist. of Framingham. William, Jr., who md. Hannah Peirce, was a miller; his house was destroyed by fire in 1797, and he d. Dec. 1802, at an advanced age.
