    F251 Corporal Elisha Locke, born 1760, married Mehitable Stickney, dau. of James and Eleanor (Wilson). She probably died 1810-20. He was in Simpson's Rangers 1776; in Stark's Reg., Capt. Post's Co., July 24 - Sept. 25, 1777; was sergeant in Capt. Barrows' Co. 1779; and was paid for services. 1777 to Jan. 1778, and Apl. 9, 1782. He and his sons were instrumental in developing the town of Haverhill where he settled in 1776; thence moved to Monroe County, N. Y., in 1816. He was pensioned in 1841, and died in Monroe Co. Jan. 28, 1844.
