March 24, 1851; he and his brother John went "into the wilderness" (Meredith), where he made his home of cut logs. He d. March 23, 1851; 84 John, b. March 10, 1764; 85 Elizabeth, b. History of Newfields says they had: Samuel; John b. 1777 who m. Betsey Sawyer; Walter who m. --- Clark; and Elizabeth who m. John Ames of Parsonsfield, Me. However, John's birth year presents a problem.
