F288 Jonathan Goss, born in Rye 1743, married Feb. 16, 1769, Elizabeth Browx, dau. of Joseph and Abigail (Goss ?), who was born May 14, 1750, died June 7, 1830. She married 2nd, Aleck Lear. Jonathan sailed in the Privateer "Portsmouth" under Capt. Sam Seavey, was captured and died of smallpox in Dartmoor prison.
