Josiah Locke
1705 - 1727 (22 years)- Josiah, b. Mh. 15, 1705. He resided at Wob. was probably a blacksmith and d. between July 20, 1727, and Nov. 6, 1730, at which latter date, I find a bill against his estate was paid to Dr. Francis Archbald of Boston for medicines and attendance. I have a number of his Manuscripts which show that he was a young man of considerable education, with a taste for poetry ; several pieces are in my possession. He purchased Dec. 1723, 100 acres in the " North Township above Groton," of his brother Ebenezer.
