  F165 Lieut. Ephraim, b. Feb. 10, 1730, m. May 14, 1752, Comfort Dowrst. F165 Lieut. Ephraim Locke, born in Rye Feb. 10, 1730. married May 14, 1752, Comfort Dowrst, born Aug. 21, 1731, at Rye, dau. of Ozem and Elizabeth (Seavey) of Epsom. He bought 50 acres of land in' Epsom in 1747, and 40 acres more in 1756. He sold land there in 1762, and willed land there in 1763. He left Rye in 1767, was a moderator in Epsom 1773-5, made list of soldiers there Aug. 24, 1776. He represented the town in the Legislature, and was a Revolutionary soldier. He died March 7, 1798.
