1724 -- Francis Locke, born In Rye June 27, 1724, married 1st, Jan. 24, 1751, Sarah Page. He married 2nd, Elizabeth (Page [?]) Bachelder, at East Kingston, Dec. 31, 1761, who was born 1734, and died in Concord, Jan. 4, 1805. He signed the petition for the Newmarket bridge in 1755; sold land in Portsmouth Jan. and May 1759, and sold all his rights in Rumney, in 1767. He was a farmer and selectman in Epsom July 21, 1744, and died in Epsom. He was in Capt. Dearborn's Co., Stark's Reg., May 9, 1775, for 3 y. 6 m., and was paid for 103-8-6 miles travel. -- Locke Genealogy 1916
