Josiah Locke Frost led a very colorful life, born in Mass, went to California gold fields, and ended up in Wisconsin. His middle name was very intriguing -- there must be a link through a female ancestor!
A couple days of research and we found that his middle name was a tribute to a neighboring family rather than a relative. Nonetheless, his is a great story, and emblematic of a more heroic age.
